Lin, who is 56 years old, has a master's degree in criminology from the University of Birmingham in the United States and has served in various capacities, including as Chief of the Taipei County Police Bureau Criminal Investigation Division. With New Taipei being a crucial battleground for the 2026 mayoral election, various blue camp figures are being considered for the race.
