Lin You-chang regrets: Kuomintang leaves Keelung people with no face by reaching for the second-stage recall of Ko Liang in place of Hsieh Guo-liang

Reported about 1 year ago

The Democratic Progressive Party provided civil group 'Shanhai Civilian Demolition Action' to promote the recall of Keelung City Mayor Hsieh Guo-liang. The action group announced the latest number of signatures today (6/29) as 36,000, surpassing the threshold of 37,920. Former Keelung City Mayor and Democratic Progressive Party Secretary-General Lin You-chang expressed regret in an interview, stating that every time the Kuomintang is in power, Keelung City's satisfaction with the government ranks last. The pride and glory built over the past 8 years have been destroyed in a short time, leaving Keelung people humiliated and mocked by relatives and friends. Lin emphasized that the entire 'demolition' action is a spontaneous manifestation of civilian power, pointing out the discrepancy between Hsieh Guo-liang's governance and public expectations.
