A residential fire broke out late at night in a 7-story building on Yanshou Road, Tucheng District, New Taipei City, resulting in 3 deaths and 2 injuries. The cause of the fire, suspected to be a lithium battery explosion during charging, is still under investigation. Firefighters managed to control and extinguish the blaze, but not before numerous casualties were discovered on different floors of the building, with the tragic incident highlighting the dangers associated with lithium battery accidents.
