A fire broke out in a residential home on Yanshou Road, Tucheng District, New Taipei City at 3:32 a.m. on June 13, resulting in the deaths of a 59-year-old woman, her 20-year-old son surnamed Li, and her daughter's boyfriend. The explosion was suspected to be caused by a lithium battery charging from a weed cutter, with exact reasons still under investigation. Experts warn about the dangers of improper use of lithium batteries in power tools, suggesting precautions like avoiding high-temperature environments and water exposure, and promptly replacing or repairing deformed or overheating batteries to prevent accidents.
