Scot Bennett, the longest-serving player at Newport County, has departed the League Two club after failing to reach a new contract agreement. Bennett, who had been with the club for eight years, expressed his disappointment in leaving, having envisioned ending his career there. Despite his popularity and versatile abilities in midfield and defense, Bennett will now be moving on from Newport County, where he made 367 appearances and contributed to memorable FA Cup matches during his time with the club.
