Love Rejection Leads to Email Threat of Random Violence; Police Prevent Crisis at Hospital

Reported 10 months ago

Taiwanese weekly CTWANT reported that on June 16, the Wufeng Police Station in Taichung received a report from a hospital regarding a 35-year-old man named Liao who sent a threatening email stating he would randomly attack people at the hospital when he returned for treatment. Allegedly, this was sparked by his failed attempt to win over a nurse. Police successfully averted the crisis by deploying officers early and monitoring the situation carefully. Liao was taken into custody and faces legal consequences for his actions. Authorities urge the public to refrain from violence as a means of conflict resolution, emphasizing zero tolerance for threats and the need to respect medical personnel in the workplace.
