Lowering Workflow Costs, Western Digital Introduces AI Data Lifecycle Architecture

Reported 7 months ago

In order to drive the next wave of AI innovation, Western Digital has introduced an AI Data Lifecycle Architecture consisting of six stages, defining the optimal storage combinations for large-scale AI workloads. This framework aims to assist businesses in planning and developing advanced storage infrastructure to maximize AI investments, improve efficiency, and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for AI workflows. By strategically adjusting flash memory and HDD products based on the storage requirements of each key stage in the data lifecycle, Western Digital has launched several products catering to economic large-scale storage solutions, such as high-performance PCIe Gen5 SSDs, high-capacity 64TB SSDs, and the world’s highest-capacity ePMR, UltraSMR 32TB HDDs.
