Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva urged state-run oil company Petrobras to eliminate intermediaries and sell fuel directly to consumers to reduce prices. Amid rising costs and declining popularity, Lula criticized gas stations and state taxes for overcharging compared to Petrobras prices.
