Lung Cancer Still the Top Cause of Death: Doctors Advise Early Screening to Improve Survival Rate

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's recent statistics on causes of death in the country, lung cancer has continuously ranked as one of the top two cancer-related causes of death for 44 years. Dr. Hong Yuzhong, Director of the Lian An Clinic Health Management Center, emphasized the importance of early and regular screening in enhancing survival rates. Early screening helps detect cancer at an early stage, significantly improving survival rates, especially for lung cancer and breast cancer. Preventive measures such as regular screenings, lifestyle improvements, and early detection through advanced medical imaging play key roles in reducing cancer risks and mortality rates.
