According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, cancer remains the leading cause of death among Taiwanese in 112 years, with lung cancer ranking first for 20 consecutive years. To address this, Kuang Tien General Hospital and Zhongshan Hospital's thoracic surgery department have collaborated to provide better thoracic medical resources to prevent and treat lung cancer. The initiative includes offering free low-dose CT scans to high-risk groups and enhancing the quality of thoracic surgical services in the region, aiming to improve healthcare access and outcomes for residents along the western coast of Taiwan.
