Reported 12 months ago

The Lunghwa University of Science and Technology held a Smart Manufacturing Forum inviting over 40 companies with the aim to strengthen student motivation and customize professional manpower in alignment with industry needs for its first-year enrollment of the Smart Manufacturing Technology Department. Through partnerships with companies like Siemens Taiwan, ProfiNet Taiwan Association, and Irish company SoLien, the university launched the Smart Manufacturing Technology Department's collaboration with the Taichung Industrial Precision Machinery Park's talent matchmaking plan. The forum and MOU signing ceremony on June 28 aimed to create a platform for mutual benefits between industry and academia. With a significant increase in demand for mid-level technical talents across various industries, particularly in smart manufacturing, 5G, and AI, the university's program seeks to address the talent gap by fostering skilled professionals in automation and intelligence. Through the 4-year talent customization and pre-matching employment plan, students are guided by professors matched with their expertise to understand company needs early on, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in the job market and expanding the source of talents for companies.
