Maersk has reported that U.S. companies are currently facing average import tariffs of 21%, significantly down from a peak of 54% after new tariffs were introduced by the Trump administration. Amid ongoing negotiations with major trading partners to avoid higher tariffs before a July deadline, the shipping giant noted robust container demand and a shift among U.S. customers to reduce reliance on Chinese imports.
