During a legislative session on June 25, 2024, Executive Yuan Chief Su Tseng-chang and Mainland Affairs Council Minister Chiu Chui-cheng were questioned. Amid reports that a Chinese journalist stationed in Taiwan directly intervened in and monitored the production of a political talk show on a local TV station, causing public outcry, Minister Chiu confirmed the incident and disclosed that the journalist had been recalled to China. The Mainland Affairs Council will conduct an administrative investigation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. The issue was raised by a Kuomintang lawmaker during the legislative questioning, emphasizing concerns over media interference by mainland China.
