In preparation for the upcoming Cross-Strait Forum in Xiamen on the 15th, China's Taiwan Affairs Office claimed to have invited around 7,000 Taiwanese political party representatives and various guests. However, Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council Vice Minister Liang Wen-chieh mentioned that recent transport volumes in routes like the Mini Three Links and flights to Kinmen remain similar to standard operations. While acknowledging participation from certain groups and organizations, Liang emphasized the difference between normal exchanges and United Front activities, labeling the forum as a United Front platform and advising against official or local government attendance to adhere to regulations.
