Popular mainland China tea chain, HEYTEA, introduced a new drink called 'Glutinous Lemon Tea' with natural herbal scents, but received criticism from consumers for tasting like foot wash or dirty rag water. Despite claims from the company about the natural rice fragrance, individuals found the flavor to be unpleasant, with opinions varying on whether it was drinkable. Priced under 30 TWD, the tea has sparked discussions. A reporter found it smelled more like mild sock smell while testing. HEYTEA is known for its affordable products, with over 29,000 stores in mainland China and plans for a Hong Kong IPO, facing new competition from the rising star SWEET SWEET LA with expanding reach and lower-priced products, possibly becoming a future rival to HEYTEA.
