Despite the interruption in cross-strait tourist groups, news emerged that the mainland is inviting Taiwan internet celebrities to travel to the mainland for filming online short videos for marketing purposes, with no political issues involved. When questioned about this potentially being a 'cultural united front,' Taiwan Affairs Office's Deputy Minister Liang Wenjie's latest attitude was revealed on June 13th, saying they will 'pay attention,' but did not confirm whether it is considered a 'cultural united front.' The Executive Yuan welcomed sustained and healthy exchanges between both sides but expressed disapproval of any involvement in the united front.
