The Maldives government will prohibit Israelis from entering the country as a response to the war in Gaza, amidst rising public anger in the predominantly Muslim nation. President Mohamed Muizu's office announced the Cabinet's decision to prevent Israeli passport holders from entering the archipelago and to set up a subcommittee to oversee the process. Meanwhile, Israel's Foreign Ministry recommends Israelis to avoid travel to the Maldives and for those already there to consider leaving.
