In New Taipei City's Luzhou District, a street violence incident occurred this morning on Zhonghua Street, where a man suspected of a debt dispute attacked another with a knife. The police arrived promptly upon receiving the report, arrested the suspect, and the victim, after receiving emergency medical treatment, is now out of danger. The suspect has been taken back to the police station for questioning to clarify the situation. The police stated that the two men, aged 35 and 47, had a verbal altercation due to a debt dispute, which escalated to a physical confrontation with the older man wielding a knife. The police arrested the suspect on the spot and sent the victim for medical assistance where he is conscious and stable. The suspect will be prosecuted for assault by the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office.
