A 33-year-old man named Zhang in Taipei's Shilin District caused a commotion when he was refused a taxi ride due to his unstable emotions. In retaliation, he brandished a 49cm long Samurai sword at two taxi drivers, damaging their vehicles and injuring one driver's back. He was promptly apprehended by the police and faces charges under weapons control laws, attempted murder, intimidation, and vandalism.
