A man surnamed Lin encountered enemies seeking revenge on June 19th and, in order to avoid exposure of his wanted status, jumped into a drain to evade the police, with two friends following suit. The incident in New Taipei City stemmed from a dispute where a 32-year-old man, unhappy with a 34-year-old man harassing his girlfriend at a shrimp fishing site in May, confronted and viciously attacked the latter on the street, leading to injuries and a bloody scene. Despite attempting to hide, Lin was discovered by the police. Investigations revealed that Lin had warrants issued for money laundering and assault, with the attacker and his accomplices currently being pursued by the authorities.
