A man surnamed Chen in Kaohsiung with four warrants related to theft cases was arrested during a midnight snack encounter with friends in Qijin, Kaohsiung. Trying to evade police during a check due to illegal parking, Chen hid behind a wall but was cleverly spotted by quick-minded police interns and eventually captured. Chen had been on the run since February 17, 2023, and was wanted by multiple judicial authorities for theft cases. The police credited the successful arrest to the intern's alertness and the officers' effective teamwork in reducing Chen's alertness before capturing him.
