Reported 10 months ago

A middle-aged man in Taichung City pretended to buy jewelry at a jewelry store in Dali District, but allegedly stole a Buddha pendant and a gold necklace. The store reported the theft, and police apprehended the suspect within 1.5 hours, revealing that he was a habitual thief at jewelry stores. The police described it as instant karma. The stolen items were surreptitiously taken by the suspect while distracting the store owner, who noticed the theft only after the man left and immediately alerted the authorities. The police commendably solved the case in under two hours by tracking surveillance cameras in the area.
