On July 1, 2024, at 5:29 a.m., Lin Jun-hong drove his car and crashed into the Presidential Office, where he was apprehended. Around 5 p.m. in the evening, a white sedan attempted to crash into the steel flower bed in front of the Presidential Office, but was immediately stopped by the military police. Later, a car sprayed with protest red paint was seen speeding down Ketagalan Boulevard in Taipei after a heavy rain. This incident is not the first of its kind, as in the past individuals have attempted similar acts of disruption, with some even causing severe harm and facing legal consequences, causing shock in society.
