In Taipei, a man named Wu was caught on CCTV breaking into an unmanned doll machine shop at Taipei Main Station underground mall, stealing over 10,000 TWD in cash. The police identified Wu based on his appearance and clothing from the footage, as he targeted the unattended shop late at night on two occasions. Wu, a 71-year-old unemployed occasional laborer, disguised himself during the thefts to avoid detection, but was eventually apprehended and sent for further investigation on aggravated theft charges. The authorities advise similar shops to enhance security measures and urge any victims of such crimes to come forward and assist in identifying suspects.
