A 57-year-old man surnamed Hong from Wanli District, New Taipei City, drifted out to sea when he fell asleep while floating in the ocean after work. He was rescued by fishermen who found him floating with a swimming ring and brought him back to shore. Despite being uninjured, he was taken to the hospital for a check-up and left on his own after deeming himself physically fine. The incident occurred on July 6th, and he was rescued on July 7th after floating for approximately 19 hours.
