A man surnamed Huang in Taichung purchased several bottles of Dutch imported liquor at an American-style store and was shocked to find what appeared to be a pile of 'cockroaches' at the bottom of the bottle when he finished drinking it. The gruesome sight caused Huang to vomit continuously, even spitting out blood threads, leading to a diagnosis of gastrointestinal inflammation. Taichung authorities have ordered the removal of all the liquor from the shelves and will send the liquor Huang purchased for testing, with further actions based on the results. The incident has raised concerns about hygiene quality in alcoholic beverages, prompting calls to protect consumer rights and enforce regulations.
