In Taoyuan's Dayuan District, a 62-year-old man surnamed Hong fell asleep in the library corridor after drinking with friends at a restaurant. Library staff couldn't wake him, so the police were called. Unable to express his identity clearly due to still being intoxicated, the man was taken to the police station where he was eventually identified and picked up by family. Despite claiming he came to read, he was incoherent and uncooperative. The man had a cut on his arm, which was treated by paramedics. After regaining composure with the police, he couldn't remember what happened after entering the library post-lunch. Family members were embarrassed by his behavior and thankful for the assistance, allowing him to return home safely.
