A 26-year-old man from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was tricked into a job scam after seeing a high-paying job posting online. Thinking he was heading to Thailand for work, he was actually flown to Cambodia and threatened by 6 accomplices. His family paid a ransom of $150,000 to rescue him. The scam artist tattooist was later arrested. The police discovered that the criminal group not only lured victims with high-paying jobs but also engaged in violence and debt collection tactics. The police have arrested the leaders of both the scam and debt collection groups and are investigating them for various crimes.
