Reported about 1 year ago
In New Taipei's Xindian District, a 26-year-old man surnamed Gao fired 17 shots at a motel on June 26, suspected to be related to gang disputes. Despite Gao's claim that he was insulted and beaten by people at the motel in 2023, the motel's leaseholder Liu denied knowing him and stated there were no conflicts. Police suspect hidden motives and are investigating further. Gao, linked to a gang, surrendered after the incident, blaming the deceased friend for the gun, following a pattern commonly seen in gang activities.
