In the middle of the night on June 30, 2024, a barefoot bald man was reported to have followed a female tourist into a homestay in Xiao Liuqiu, Pingtung. He roamed outside, rummaged through people's clothes, hid in the shadows upon hearing noise, peeked inside, and then boldly entered. When the woman screamed, he fled. The incident prompted police response and the homestay shared his photo online to caution the public. Authorities are actively seeking his identity, raising concerns among local residents and travelers during the summer holidays on Xiao Liuqiu.
