On June 18, a man named Lin went missing while collecting seaweed in the intertidal zone near Magang Fishing Port in Gongliao District, New Taipei City. His family reported him missing, leading to a two-day search by firefighters and coast guard personnel. Lin, who was in his 50s, was found deceased in a crevice about 50 meters off the shore of the fishing port today at noon. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt and snorkeling gear, including a mask, breathing tube, and fins. Authorities are investigating the cause of death, with Lin's family expressing concerns after he failed to return home the day of his disappearance.
