A man surnamed Hong, aged 20, carried out a random knife attack in a Zhongjie metro carriage in Taichung, slashing a 17-year-old high school student and the brave resistor known as 'Long-Haired Guy' surnamed Xu, on May 21st. Hong, who confessed his motive was to make the whole nation see him, was prosecuted for attempted murder. Recalling the incident, Xu mentioned that Hong's expression was calm, and he initially wanted to calm him down until he was attacked and had to resist. Xu noted that he couldn't comprehend the perpetrator's motive and emphasized that the perpetrator should take responsibility for his actions.
