A man surnamed Hsieh has been imprisoned and prosecuted for smuggling illegal bird flu vaccines into Taiwan, selling over 500 bottles to poultry farms this year alone. He was caught twice, once in January and again in March, after previously operating with accomplices to import and distribute the vaccines. The illegal vaccines posed significant health risks, including the potential for viral mutations and cross-species transmission, leading to strict legal repercussions for those involved in the trade.
