A double homicide occurred in Chiayi City where a man named Chen entered his ex-wife's residence, fatally stabbing her boyfriend and injuring her son before fleeing. Chen was later surrounded by police at a motel, where he fatally shot himself. Chen had posted multiple Facebook messages expressing his dissatisfaction and claiming that his family was destroyed by his ex-wife's new boyfriend, whom he referred to as a 'good friend.' This incident stemmed from long-standing resentment and emotional turmoil, ultimately resulting in two deaths and one injury.
