The 49-year-old man surnamed Du, who drove his Benz to crash into the Presidential Office Building yesterday, was calmly taken for further questioning by the Taipei Prosecutor's Office today after being arrested by the Zhongzheng Police Station. Du, who was suspected of hanging around near the Presidential Office earlier on the same day before heading to the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and then crashing into the Presidential Office, displayed unstable behavior when apprehended and during subsequent questioning. He faces charges of public endangerment and obstructing public duties.
