On June 25, 2024, at 10:35 PM, a man surnamed Yu in New Taipei accidentally fell from the window of his 8th-floor residence, critically injuring himself and causing minor injuries to a 27-year-old woman named Lin passing by below. It was discovered that Yu owed a debt of 1.8 million NT dollars for gambling, leading to a confrontation and assault by a 22-year-old Yang; during Yu's attempted escape by climbing on the window, he tragically fell to his death. Both Yang and another individual involved have been arrested, with investigations ongoing.
