In New Taipei's Xindian District, a man named Gao, aged 26, allegedly fired 16 shots at an inn owned by a 32-year-old host. The incident stemmed from a past altercation between Gao and the inn owner. Gao claimed the modified gun used was left by a deceased friend. The exact motive behind the shooting is still under investigation. Gao rode a motorcycle borrowed from a friend to the inn, fired shots at the entrance, and later turned himself in to the police station.
