In New Taipei's Tucheng District, a man surnamed Liu, dissatisfied with the BMW X5 he bought for 1.5 million NTD, opened fire at the seller on the night of the 13th. The police responded after hearing gunshots and arrested Liu and two others, seizing 3 modified guns and ammunition from their vehicle. Liu, expressing longstanding grievances, confessed to the shooting which led to charges of attempted murder and firearms offenses. This incident occurred following a failed negotiation between Liu and the seller at the conclusion of which Liu followed the seller and fired the shots.
