In Xinzhuang District of New Taipei City, a 26-year-old man named Lin was caught illegally parked on Fuguo Road on the evening of June 21. When patrolling officers intervened, Lin became agitated and even pushed the officers. Suspicious, the police intensified their alert and discovered a machete on the front passenger seat of Lin's car. Lin resisted and tried to flee back to his car, where police found a modified handgun, 4 bullets, and a ketamine smoke bomb. He was subsequently arrested and will be investigated for firearms, drugs, obstructing official duties, and maintaining social order violations. The Xinzhuang Police Station Chief emphasized the importance of cracking down on illegal firearms to maintain public safety.
