A man surnamed Li in Yunlin ordered over 3000 bottles of concentrated avian influenza vaccine and waterfowl avian small virus antibody vaccine on the Chinese e-commerce platform Taobao, had them shipped to Taiwan in 343 boxes, each containing 10 bottles, violating Taiwan's Animal Drug Management Law. Around 2300 bottles have entered the market, with Li selling them for profit. Li is facing charges for unlawfully importing and selling animal drugs, as Taiwan strictly prohibits vaccinating poultry, and authorities warn against purchasing such vaccines from unknown sources to prevent health risks.
