A man in New Taipei City was abducted and severely beaten to death after buying a late-night snack, with the main suspect surrendering in Miaoli claiming the victim owed him 30,000 NTD in rent, sparking the attack. Five others were apprehended by the police, with witnesses describing how the victim was bundled into a car and left for dead, leading to a tragic outcome. The suspects were alleged to have returned the victim to the scene and fled when the victim's boss arrived, while denying any deep-seated grudge against the victim. Investigations continue amid suspicions of a financial motive behind the violent crime.
