On June 26, 2024, in Xindian District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, a bald man in black attire opened fire on the roller shutter of a motel, firing over 20 shots in a demonstration. Witnesses were terrified, leading the suspect, a 26-year-old man with the surname Gao, to surrender to the police station with the gun. The motive behind the shooting at the motel is still under investigation by the authorities.
