A man named Du drove a graffiti-covered Mercedes to protest at the American Institute in Taiwan and the Presidential Office yesterday, even ramming into the flowerbeds in front of the office before being arrested. He was taken to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for questioning this morning, where he was granted bail of 200,000 yuan, restricted from leaving the country, and ordered to be responsible for his family. Du's wife mentioned that he had been emotionally unstable recently and had a previous record of obstructing freedom. During the transfer to the prosecutors' office, Du shouted, 'My wife is a spy!'
