In New Taipei City's Xindian District, a 44-year-old man named Zhuang caused a scene at a convenience store when his payment with a damp and dirty banknote was rejected by the cashier. Feeling insulted, Zhuang began shouting loudly, frightening those around him. Police were called to the scene, where they subdued him and took him back to the station for further procedures. Zhuang, who emitted a strong smell of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication, even attempted to attack the police with an umbrella before being restrained. The incident resulted from a dispute over his perceived disrespect after his banknote was rejected by the cashier.
