On July 1, 2024, a man drove a Mercedes-Benz with words such as 'cognitive warfare' sprayed on it, first entering AIT and then ramming the flower stand in front of the Presidential Office in Neihu District, Taipei. The man, identified as a 48-year-old surnamed Du, initially refused to leave his car on the road, honking continuously before leaving upon police intervention. However, he later returned to ram the flower stand, causing damage. Despite having a high blood alcohol content, the man was arrested for public endangerment and property damage, with police investigating further. Wearing expensive designer clothes during the incident, the motivation behind the man's actions is still being clarified.
