A man in Taipei was stopped by police at 3:25 a.m. after drinking alcohol and trying to help his girlfriend by pulling out a motorcycle. A dispute ensued for about an hour before he agreed to a breathalyzer test, which showed a reading of 0.11 milligrams. The man and his girlfriend were allowed to leave as the reading did not meet the criteria for punishment, with the police providing them with mineral water after a calm conversation. The incident was captured on police recorder, showing the entire event of the man helping his girlfriend on the sidewalk and being stopped by the police.
