In Taipei's Wanhua District, a 78-year-old landlord surnamed Yan was brutally killed on June 9th by a 68-year-old tenant named Chen during a heated argument, leading to Chen fleeing to his hometown in Hsinchu. Chen later surrendered to the police and was taken into custody for the murder, as investigations revealed that Yan's body suffered extensive injuries, including smashed skull bones due to the force of the attack. The dispute between the two escalated over unpaid rent, with Chen resorting to using a knife in the fatal confrontation before seeking refuge at a temple and eventually turning himself in.
