Manufacturing Activity Shows Growth Ahead of Trump's Second Term: ISM

Reported 1 day ago

According to the Institute of Supply Management (ISM), manufacturing activity surged in November, with the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rising to 48.4, marking a 1.9 percentage point increase from the previous month. This marks the eighth consecutive decline, but signals a potential turnaround due to improved new orders and investments in manufacturing. ISM chair Tim Fiore indicates the sector may see further recovery as a Republican administration takes office, aiming to boost business expansion and job creation.
