In a traditional market in Tamsui, New Taipei City, over 400 counterfeit luxury clothing, bags, and shoes bearing logos of brands like LV, Gucci, Nike, and Adidas were confiscated by police. The items were being sold at discounted prices of one to two-thirds off, totaling over two million in infringing value. The market vendor claimed the products were customs auction items but was apprehended for trademark violations. The police seized the knockoff merchandise and emphasized the risks of buying cheap counterfeit goods, urging consumers to purchase from authorized retailers for guaranteed quality.
