A married man in Pingtung, Taiwan, was sued by his wife for having an extramarital affair with a female colleague. To cover up the affair, he changed the colleague's name on messaging apps to his daughter's nickname, hoping to deceive his wife. However, his wife discovered the affair and sued the mistress for NT$500,000 in emotional distress. The court eventually ruled that the mistress had to pay NT$30,000 in compensation. The wife had initially forgiven the husband but later found out that he continued the affair and used explicit messages like 'Miss you, darling' and 'Can't stop thinking of you,' leading to her decision to take legal action.
